Boot Camp 2008 or now known as Tech Camp 2008
If you get a chance look at my personal picture page. I have a bunch of new pics from the Kennedy Space center! We took the tour today that took us to the launch pad of the new shuttle (Atlantis) that is going to take off on June 8th. Which by the way I'm going to be about 20 miles North on the beach watching! Cool! Had no idea until we got to the center and found out when the next launch is. I'll be on family vacation with the family in June and just happen to plan on visiting the center that very day. I will definitely post more pics if it does come true!

But as for Boot Camp! The last day was the best. We covered Vault 2008, survey 2008 and believe me there is some big stuff in both.
Vault 2008 now in the package includes a new version of the Vault server that now only has a file size limit (of the database) of 4 gigs instead of the 2 gig limit of 2007. And even bigger there is now no limit of concurrent users! Unlike 2007 where you had the limit of 10. This is big, this will save companies big money.
As for survey 2008, now we can take points that were either created manually or brought in by ASCII and copy them into the Survey database. You can now also unlock survey points that are in the survey database and move them freely around. There is also a new free utility that you can run that will allow you to transform points from there original location to a new known coordinate system with rotation all while inside C3D.
This is just some of the new features, but some of the big ones that will help get you off the wall about jumping to C3D or to get you to use Vault.
Talk latter! From sunny Orlando! Will post more in a day or so.
